The GSGA provides a variety of services to its Member Clubs that enhance the enjoyment of the game for all golfers in Georgia.

Handicapping Services

The GSGA is proud to support the Golf Handicap Index Network System (GHIN). Currently there are nearly 350 GSGA Member Clubs with over 75,000 individuals utilizing the GHIN System.

Course Measuring/Rating Program

The GSGA conducts educational seminars and can provide speakers on golf-related topics, including handicapping, course rating and the Rules of Golf. GSGA staff members are available to answer questions or provide support to Member Clubs in any area related to golf, including rules, handicapping and assistance in professionally conducting tournaments and championships.

Drone Services

The GSGA staff UAV pilots possess FAA Part 107 certification. There are two different packages, the Standard level & the Premium level. With regularly scheduled flyovers, drones can be particularly useful in easily identifying if the golf course is having persistent problems with flooding or drought. Aerial photography and video is useful for identifying the potential for golf course expansion and major landscaping projects.

The charitable arm of the GSGA, the GSGA Foundation provides educational opportunities that indirectly benefit Member Clubs and the golfing public.

Yates Scholarship Program - provides college funding to deserving GSGA Member Clubs employees and their dependents.
Moncrief Scholarship Program - provides college funding to outstanding turfgrass students in Georgia.

Scoreboard Printing Services

The GSGA can provide professional quality scoreboards for a variety of club events, ranging from stroke play, match-play interclub and Ryder Cup-style format.

Golf Industry Support

The GSGA works closely with the Georgia Section PGA, Georgia Golf Course Superintendents Association, Georgia Chapter, Club Managers Association of America and Georgia Golf Course Owners Association to ensure that golfers in Georgia continue to enjoy the very best of what the game offers. GSGA supports the Georgia Turfgrass Foundation Trust with contributions to turfgrass research and contributions to the support of programs and services of the Georgia Section PGA.

The Georgia State Golf Association (GSGA) is the governing body of golf in Georgia and serves as an Allied Golf Association to the United States Golf Association (USGA). Membership in the GSGA is open to all golfers, facilities and golf clubs throughout the state. Golfers that join the GSGA have access to invaluable resources that allow them to advance their knowledge of the game and numerous opportunities to play in both competitive and fun, casual events.
