Your GSGA membership remains active for one year from the date you join.

No! GSGA membership is for anyone who wants to be involved with golf - whether you are a member at a private club or a public golfer. If you aren't a member at a traditional green-grass club, you can join the USGA/GSGA GC to start your membership!

Having a Handicap Index allows you to play with any golfer on a fair and equitable basis. You can also use your Handicap Index® to track your progress in the game, enter tournaments or casual events that have a Handicap Index® requirement. Once you post 54 holes of scores, which can be a mix of 9 or 18-hole scores, your Handicap Index® will be established!

Yes! You keep your same GHIN number that was given to you upon first joining the GSGA or another state golf association across the U.S. Simply use that GHIN number as you go to renew. Or contact us at membership@gsga.org if you need help locating your GHIN number.

There are multiple avenues available for junior golfers to enjoy golf and the benefits of a GSGA membership. Options include:

- Juniors age 13 and older can join online for $55 through the USGA/GSGA GC. Or through the other options below as well.

- Join the GSGA Junior Tour, which includes multiple membership options based on age and skill level. This membership also includes GSGA membership and access to Youth on Course (play rounds of golf for $5 at participating courses in Georgia and around the U.S., Canada and Australia). - Join as a Youth on Course member, which includes a Handicap Index® and GSGA membership on top of other Youth on Course benefits. Youth on Course Georgia members can play at 50+ participating facilities statewide and to over 2,300+ courses across the U.S., Canada and Australia for $5 or less. Click here for more information.

Yes! A new GHIN number is not given if you join multiple GSGA Member Clubs as it is unique to each golfer. You will continue using the same GHIN number to post scores, etc.
