Virtual Rules Education

In an effort to educate every junior golfer throughout the state of Georgia, the GSGA staff has provided a recorded Rules Seminar for the GSGA Junior Tour membership, high school players and coaches, and parents of junior golfers. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the Rules of Golf. We highly recommend every junior golfer participating in GSGA Junior Tour or high school golf events to take the time to watch the video below and reach out with any questions.

Scholarships

The Wayne Reynolds Scholarship Foundation

The Druid Hills Golf Club Foundation awards the Wayne Reynolds Scholarship Grant, a four-year $3,000 annual scholarship, which helps qualified junior golfers with their college tuition. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and promote the attainment of higher educational goals for students who have demonstrated successful participation in a junior golf program in Georgia.

The Scholarship was founded by Wayne Reynolds, a longtime member of Druid Hills Golf Club. He wanted to leave something special for the club, a benefit to the community and wanted to give the members of Druid Hills something to be proud of. Wayne and his family chose to help junior golfers with an opportunity to attend college by establishing the four-year Reynolds Scholarship Grant. Since its inception in 1998, the Reynolds Scholarship has been awarded to 32 junior golfers.

The Foundation will provide yearly grants for deserving undergraduate students at accredited two- or four-year colleges or universities.

For more information on the Reynolds Scholarship Foundation or to apply, please visit their website.

Volunteer Opportunities

The GSGA Junior Tour is a statewide program providing young golfers in Georgia an opportunity to participate in competitive junior golf. The program offers junior golf competitions throughout the state for players of all skill levels between the ages of 5 and 18 who have not yet started college. Through these competitive experiences, the GSGA strives to create memorable experiences for juniors and their families. This effort could not be achieved without the support from local communities and volunteers at host clubs.

The GSGA Junior Tour is a great opportunity for volunteers to get their first taste of administering competitions. Interested volunteers should have an interest not only in tournament administration, but also in helping junior golfers learn the basics of competing in a tournament setting.

At each event, volunteer opportunities vary but may include serving as a Rules Official, shuttling players between holes and assisting with live scoring. Please see below for all opportunities currently available.

If you have any questions please contact us, or if you are interested in volunteering with the GSGA Junior Tour, click here to complete a Volunteer Interest Form.
