ATLANTA, GA. - Chuck Palmer of Atlanta was named the 2026 recipient of the Georgia State Golf Association’s Bill Todd Award, the highest honor bestowed upon a GSGA Volunteer.
The Bill Todd Award honors a volunteer who maintains the highest standard of service and stewardship to the GSGA. The presentation of this award honors the memory of one of the GSGA’s most valued volunteers who spent more than 20 years serving the Association.
Palmer's first involvement with the GSGA came as a teenager when he was one of the first recipients of a Moncrief Scholarship from the GSGA Foundation. He would later go on to serve as general counsel for the GSGA from 2007-2010, which included negotiating the transfer of the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame from the Department of Economic Development to the GSGA.
In 2013, Palmer was elected president of the GSGA and served through 2014. Palmer has also offered a helping hand on the Executive and Nominating committees for the GSGA, and currently serves as part of the Hall of Fame Selection committee.
Palmer also helped lead the transformation of Bobby Jones Golf Couse in Atlanta and the creation of the Murray Golf House, which provided new office space for the GSGA and Georgia PGA as well as a physical home for the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame.
