It was an inspiring week at the Georgia Adaptive Open with over 50 competitors from across the United States and Colombia competing at Sea Island Golf Club (Retreat Course) in St. Simons Island! The 6th playing of the competition took place Sept. 18-20 with 10 different impairment categories were represented.

Eli Villanueva of North Carolina took home the Overall title thanks to a three-day total of 5-over-par (75-69-77) to win by one shot over William Jacobsen of Alabama (69-77-76). Defending champion Kenny Bontz of Florida finished third (79-69-80). All three players tied for the low round of the championship with a 3-under 69.

In the Women's Division, Amy Bockerstette of Arizona (85-84-86) took home the crown! Kelli Valentine of Pennsylvania (92-92-84) and two-time champion Cathy Walch of Buford, Georgia (96-95-89) rounded out the top three.

Joining Villanueva and Bockerstette as a first-time Georgia Adaptive Open was Justin Miller of Arizona! Miller (92-82-79) won the seated division by nine shots thanks to his improvement each day of the competition. Michael Nicholson of Florida (86-83-93) and Ben Brown of Kentucky (91-83-89) finished second and third, respectively.

Congratulations to Eli, Amy and Justin on their overall division victories and great playing as well to the other impairment category and USAGA Sport Class winners and top finishers!
