Please find below a summary of changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic regarding the 2020 competitions season.

2020 GSGA COMPETITIONS PROGRAM FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. Where can I find a new listing of revised, modified or canceled GSGA competitions?
  2. What will competitions look like this year and what rules changes will be made to accommodate social distancing and other recommended safety precautions that may be in place?
    • The GSGA is developing and constantly reviewing policies and procedures which may be modified to best put players, volunteers, staff, spectators and all associated with an event in a safe environment, while keeping the integrity of competition. Such policies and procedures will be communicated to you in early June prior to the resumption of activities.
    • Until further notice, the GSGA will administer competitions utilizing a single player per cart policy. This may affect the maximum field size of a competition due to cart limitations and requirements for both club and GSGA staff and volunteers.
  3. What is the Refund Policy for withdrawals this year?
    • For the remainder of 2020, a player may request a FULL refund due to a withdrawal up through their starting time on the first day of competitions for ANY reason. After the player's starting time has passed on the first day of competition, refunds will not be granted.

  6. Will there be any team Challenge Matches this year?
    • Due to COVID-19 and its effects on schedules for the GSGA and neighboring friends, the Women's Southeastern Challenge Match and Billy Peters Cup Matches will not be played in 2020. The GSGA, FSGA, AGA and GPGA all look forward to returning with these exciting competitions in 2022.
