Jack Hall Wins Senior Match Play Championship

Jack Hall of Savannah, playing at his home club, defeats Bob Royak of Alpharetta, 5 and 3, to win the 2018 Georgia Senior Match Play Championship. The seventh edition of this event took place at The Savannah Golf Club, April 10-13.

Hall earned wins over Frank Paris of Savannah (4 and 3) in the round of 16, and Scotty Scott of Hoschton (1 up) in the quarterfinals. On Friday morning he defeated Mark Nickerson of Roswell (4 and 3) in the semifinals. Hall was the low medalist after stroke play qualifying and earned the number one seed. 

Entries were open to male amateur golfers. The Senior division was open to those age 55 and older as of April 10, and the Super Senior division was open to those age 65 and older as of April 10. The format is Match play preceded by 36-holes of stroke play qualifying. The low 16 players will advance to match play in both divisions.
