Team Georgia emerged victorious in the inaugural Kiltie Cup, defeating Team Scotland in an international showdown held July 27–28 at the historic East Lake Golf Club.

The Kiltie Cup is a newly established competition that brings together four boys and four girls from Georgia and Scotland in a Ryder Cup-style event, designed to foster camaraderie, sportsmanship, and international friendship through golf. The teams competed across three sessions using the Nassau scoring format.

Following practice rounds on Saturday, the competition teed off with mixed four-ball matches in the morning. Georgia took a narrow lead after the opening session, edging Scotland 6.5–5.5. But the Scots roared back in the afternoon foursomes, securing 7.5 out of 12 available points and claiming a two-point advantage heading into the final day.

With the Cup on the line, Team Georgia delivered a determined and composed performance in Sunday’s singles matches. Winning 16 of a possible 24 points, the Georgians surged ahead and sealed the victory with a final tally of 27 points.

The inaugural edition of the Kiltie Cup not only marked a competitive milestone but also celebrated the deepening connection between junior golf communities in Georgia and Scotland. It was a weekend of exceptional play, cultural exchange, and the kind of spirited competition that makes this game so special.
