On March 14, 2026, Dan Van Horn was officially inducted into the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026! Van Horn was joined by Louis Brown, Frank Culpepper and Hugh Royer III in this year's class.

Born in Lewisburg, Tenn., in 1952, Van Horn used his engineering background and experience as a former golf professional to rethink how children learn the game. After moving to Duluth, Ga., an experiment to lighten his 8-year-old son’s golf clubs led to the founding of U.S. Kids Golf in 1996.

Under his leadership, U.S. Kids Golf has grown into a global leader in junior golf equipment, tournaments and coaching, highlighted by the U.S. Kids Golf World Championships and more than 1,500 events held annually worldwide. Honored as a “Top 100 Business in Golf” and with Van Horn already enshrined in the Arkansas Golf Hall of Fame, his induction into the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame recognizes a lasting impact on junior golf and family engagement in the sport.
