It was an incredible year on the course in 2025 and for seven players it culminated with a GSGA Player of the Year honor.

Bob Royak of Alpharetta notched his seventh total GSGA Senior Men's Player of the Year honor with another strong campaign on the course:

  • Quarterfinalist at U.S. Senior Amateur
  • Runner-up at Georgia Match Play Championship and Georgia Senior Championship
  • Georgia Senior Open Champion
  • Georgia Senior Four-Ball Champion

We caught up with Bob, who has won eight total GSGA Player of the Year honors, to get his thoughts on his 2025 campaign and learn more about him on and off the course!

What did earning your GSGA Player of the Year honor mean to you?
ROYAK: "It’s special to earn the honor for sure. I think it helps validate the practice and preparation time put in.  Golf is such a great game and I am grateful to achieve any success when competing."

What are your early goals for 2026 you hope to accomplish?
