GSGA GOLF MARATHON WEEKEND | August 21-23, 2021

THE MARATHON

The GSGA Golf Marathon Weekend is a celebration of golf in Georgia that is capped off with a fundraising event held at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta, on Monday, August 23.

36 participants will take on the challenge of raising donations and per-hole pledges then play as many holes as possible to raise money for the GSGA Adaptive Golf Program and Junior Golf Initiatives, including Youth on Course Georgia.

Join us for a concert on Saturday, August 21, at the Byers Theatre at City Springs. Edwin McCain headlines with an acoustic show that includes Yesterday's Wine, the acclaimed country song-writing duo of Wyatt Durrette & Levi Lowrey, songwriters for Zac Brown Band & Luke Combs.

Opening for the concert is Georgia-native, singer-songwriter, Eric Dodd. Now in Nashville, Dodd has opened for Sam Hunt, Old Dominion, Jake Owen, Corey Smith, Cole Swindell, Rodney Atkins and Sister Hazel.

Tickets are available through the City Springs Box Office beginning Thursday, June 17.

GSGA JUNIOR GOLF INITIATIVES

The Youth on Course Georgia program partners with golf courses across the state to provide juniors with an incredible opportunity to play affordable golf. YOC members play golf for $5 per round at over 40 participating courses in Georgia with the GSGA subsidizing the remaining portion of the juniors’ greens fee to the facility.

Over 16,000 YOC rounds have been played in Georgia since the program began in June 2017, with 11,000 rounds projected for 2021 and a projected $100,000 in subsidies paid to clubs which marks an increase of $30,000 from 2020.

The GSGA Junior Tour is a statewide program providing young golfers in Georgia an opportunity to participate in competitive junior golf. The program offers junior golf competitions throughout the state for players of all skill levels between the ages of 5–18.
