This 36-hole qualifier for the 2018 U.S. Open Championship will be conducted by the Georgia State Golf Association on Monday, June 4. Ansley Golf Club-Settindown Creek in Roswell will host a field competing for a number of qualifying spots to be determined and two alternate positions. The 2018 U.S. Open Championship will be contested at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y., June 14-17.

To be eligible, a player must have a Handicap Index not exceeding 1.4.

Georgia 400 North to Exit 7B/Holcomb Bridge Road. Go West 4.5 miles; turn right on King Road. Continue to dead end; turn left on Cox Road. Go 2.5 miles; turn right into Fox Hall Subdivision. Turn right on Settindown Drive to the club.

Competitor Highlights

  • Gene Sauers of Savannah, inducted into the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame in 2012 and winner of the 2016 U.S. Senior Open, is in the field in hopes of qualifying for the U.S. Open.
  • Two past GSGA champions are also qualifying, including the 2015 Georgia Junior champion SM Lee of Dacula and the 2015 Georgia Public Links champion Deven Broadaway of Adairsville.
