Mike Pass wins the Super Senior Championship in playoff

SAINT SIMONS -  After a two-hole playoff, it was Mike Pass of Fayetteville who outlasted the field to capture his first GSGA individual title with a 2-over-par (71-75) 146. This event was played at Sea Island Golf Club - Retreat Course, August 1-2.

Pass led by one-stroke after the first round, but had some past champions chasing him. After 36-holes there was a three-way tie atop the leaderboard at 2-over-par between Pass, 2017 Champion Frank Costanzo of Savannah, and Mike Jackson, Sr. of Martinez.

The first playoff hole (#18), Pass and Costanzo made par while Jackson made bogey. On the second playoff hole (#18), Pass made par to secure the victory.

There were two players in the field that had won multiple GSGA Super Senior Championship titles. Don Marsh of Johns Creek, winner in 2013 & 2015, finished at 4-over-par (74-74) 148. Spencer Sappington of Milton, who was inducted into the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame in 2008, was the champion in 2008, 2010, and 2011. He posted a 6-over-par (76-74) 150.
