With challenging conditions due to rain, Laura Coble of Augusta did what she does best posting the only round in red numbers on her way to capturing the Senior Women's Championship. The 2018 edition of the Senior and Super Senior Women's Championship took place at Sky Valley Country Club, August 20-21.

It was a come from behind effort from Coble who entered the final round five strokes behind defending champion, Brenda Pictor. After making a bogey on the first hole, Coble birdied the second and never looked back. She ended the final round at 2-under-par which was good enough for a five-stroke victory. The Georgia Golf Hall of Famer finished at 3-over-par overall (77-70) 147 to capture her fourth Senior Women's title.

After a solid first round, the seven time champion, Brenda Pictor, struggled to find her groove on day two and finished at 8-over-par (72-80) 152. Only one-stroke behind in third was Cheryl Grigg who posted a 9-over-par (78-75) 153.

In the Super Senior Championship, there was excitement all the way to the end. Ginette Spinucci came into the final round with a one-stroke lead but Bobbie Suttler of Marietta closed the gap quickly and edged out Spinucci with precise shots throughout the day. Suttler finished at 18-over-par (82,80) 162 which was enough for a two stroke victory. This was Suttler's first GSGA title.
