Playing with breathtaking views of the mountains in Sky Valley, a familiar face is once again on top of the leaderboard after round one of the Georgia Senior Women's Championship. The defending champion, Brenda Pictor of Marietta, posted an even-par 72 with four birdies and leads by four strokes. The 2018 Senior and Super Senior Women's Championship is taking place at Sky Valley Country Club, August 20-21.

Pictor is a seven-time past champion of this event and captured the Georgia Senior Women's Match Play Championship earlier this year at Reynolds Lake Oconee - Great Waters. Following behind her is Leslie Elkins of Roswell who came in at 4-over-par 76.

In the Super Senior Championship, it's Ginette Spinucci of Stone Mountain who leads by one stroke. She finished round one at 9-over-par 81. Trailing behind her is Bobbie Suttler of Marietta at 10-over-par 82.

Directions: I-85 North to I-985 North. Road becomes Highway 365, then Highway 441 North to Clayton. Turn right on Highway 246 (just past Dillard House). Follow winding road to resort.
