Thank you for your interest in joining the Georgia State Golf Association.

GSGA is an association of member clubs which are united in purpose: to provide its members with the opportunity to pursue the game of golf with integrity and in accordance with the USGA Handicap System. An individual may join GSGA by joining one of our 355+ member clubs. With this online option, it’s easier than ever to join GSGA and establish your USGA Handicap Index.

In addition to your USGA Handicap Index, membership in GSGA includes the following benefits:

  • Subscription to Golf Georgia magazine, delivered to your home six times a year
  • Eligibility for some of GSGA’s 20 statewide competitions
  • Special recognition for club champions, most improved golfers, holes-in-one and other unique feats on the course
  • Additional options with your handicap service, including Internet score posting (not available at all clubs) and eRevisions
  • Access to GSGA RewardLinks, a rewards program featuring exclusive discounts and opportunities for golf-related events and items as well as other statewide sporting events
  • Access to GSGA Birdies & Bargains, an online shopping and entertainment discount program tailored specifically for GSGA members

No matter where you play, you also benefit from GSGA’s services to its member clubs:

  • Course Rating and Measuring – Every GSGA member club has up-to-date laser measurements and slope ratings, which are easily accessible online.
  • Computers for Clubs – This program provides computer hardware and software to clubs to help maintain their handicap records and tournament programs.
  • Georgia State Golf Foundation – The GSGA’s charitable affiliate provides two college scholarship programs – one for member club employees and their children (Yates Scholarships) and another for future superintendents (Moncrief Turfgrass Scholarships).
  • Allied Golf Association Support – The GSGA actively supports other golf associations in Georgia and collaborates with them on issues of importance to Member Clubs and golf in Georgia.

Membership in GSGA is established through a “home” club, where your handicap index is kept.  As part of this online application process, you will be asked to select a home club.  Currently, there are over 75 GSGA member clubs, located throughout the state, that are accepting new members via this online system.  This provides you with a variety of excellent options to choose from when making application for membership.

In the box above are three links that will take you step-by-step through the online membership application process.  If you have any questions or experience technical difficulties, feel free to contact the GSGA Member Services department at 770-955-4272 or e-mail info@gsga.org.

Please note that this application process is for new members only.  If you currently have a GHIN number and need to renew your GSGA membership, you must renew through your home club (or transfer your GHIN number to another club by going directly to that club).  Click here for more information on GSGA's renewal process.
