GSGA is an association of member clubs, including both clubs with a golf course and associate clubs without a golf course. In both cases, the clubs are united in purpose: to provide their members with the opportunity to pursue the game of golf with integrity and in accordance with the USGA Handicap System.

An individual may become a GSGA member by joining one of our 350+ Member Clubs and establishing a USGA Handicap Index. There are two easy methods for applying -- 1) In person at a GSGA Member Club near one's home or work, or 2) Online at www.gsga.org, selecting a "home" club from a list of over 40 Member Clubs located across the state.

1) Join in person at a GSGA Member Club
Visit the golf professional at a GSGA Member Club near your home or work and indicate your interest in joining GSGA. It is necessary to establish a "home" course where your records are kept. You can still play and post your scores wherever you want, but your handicap will be maintained at your "home" club. Your golf professional can help you enroll as a member of GSGA so you can establish a handicap and start posting your scores.

Visit the online Member Directory to view a list and learn more about GSGA's Member Clubs. Contact information, directions and web site links are included, and you may also search for clubs based on geographic zone.

2) Join online at www.gsga.org
Click the "Join GSGA Now!" link above. The three-step process for applying online is simple and secure. After reading a page of information and instructions - which should answer any initial questions - applicants are presented a map of Georgia showing the locations of participating Member Clubs, along with contact information and web site links to those clubs. After deciding on a "home" club, applicants fill out a brief application and make payment via credit card. The annual dues for online memberships are $35, and GSGA accepts VISA, Mastercard and American Express.

Once the application is accepted, new members will receive a confirmation e-mail with information detailing when they can start posting scores and expect to receive their USGA Handicap Index.
