Georgia Golf Hall of Fame Reveals Newest Class of Inductees
The Georgia State Golf Association is pleased to announce the 2010-2011 members of the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame: Mark Esoda of Marietta, a certified golf course superintendent and nationally recognized expert in golf course maintenance practices and procedures; Peter Persons of Macon, a past Georgia Amateur and Junior champion, University of Georgia All-American and PGA TOUR winner; Jim Stuart of Macon, a two-time former U.S. Mid-Amateur champion, past Georgia amateur player of the year and collegiate national champion; and Billie Wickliffe of Athens (posthumous induction), a five-time state champion and contributor who led efforts to increase playing opportunities for women golfers in Georgia. more... |
