In addition to individual member benefits, GSGA provides a variety of services to its Member Clubs that enhance the enjoyment of the game for all golfers in Georgia, including:
The GSGA is proud to provide member clubs with the latest in handicapping technology: Dell computers/monitors for use as posting stations, easy to use GHIN software, and a Hewlett-Packard laser printer for reporting. Touchscreens and label printers are offered as optional equipment. We provide clubs with full support and fast computer repair or replacement! Best of all, we provide the equipment and the software as an included benefit of your membership!
Included with the GHIN software is a computerized stroke-hole allocation program and the Tournament Pairing Program, an excellent computer-based system to manage competitions.
Course Measuring/Rating Program
GSGA measures and rates member courses in accordance with the USGA Course Rating System, ensuring equity among golfers of all abilities when playing different courses and posting scores for handicap purposes.
GSGA Information/Resource Center
GSGA conducts educational seminars and can provide speakers on golf-related topics, including handicapping, course rating, and the Rules of Golf. GSGA staff members are available to answer questions or provide support to member clubs in any area related to golf, including rules, handicapping and assistance in professionally conducting tournaments and championships.
GSGA serves as a clearinghouse for all golf events in Georgia. (The GSGA does not act as an arbitrator.)
As a service to our Member Clubs, GSGA provides a free online forum to post special offers, events or discounts to the general public.
