Membership Renewal FAQs

Membership in the Georgia State Golf Association runs on a calendar year basis. Often, at the end of the calendar year or within the first two months of a new year, GSGA Member Clubs will update their handicap roster for administrative reasons. At that time, the club's individual GSGA members who have not renewed their membership are no longer considered active members of GSGA and will not receive updated Handicap Indexes or their Golf Georgia magazine subscription.

If you were deleted from your club's handicap roster and received the blue-colored "We want you back!" postcard or email, all you need to do is contact the golf professional at your home club to renew your membership and make sure you keep your handicap active. Or, if you were a member at one of the clubs that participates in the Online Membership program, you can apply to renew online by clicking the box below.

What are you getting for your GSGA membership? We're glad you asked! GSGA membership includes the GHIN handicap service, a subscription to Golf Georgia magazine, an invitation to Member Play Days, eligibility for GSGA competitions, an awards program for feats such as holes-in-one, club champions and most improved golfers and RewardLinks/TravelLinks programs for exclusive member offers and special deals. Members who are active as of June 1st each year also receive a complimentary subscription to either Golf Digest or Golf World magazine. Additionally, your membership helps support the GSGA's programs that benefit all golfers in Georgia, including course rating and measuring, scholarships for club employees and future superintendents, tournament and rules assistance to clubs and industry advocacy efforts to protect and grow the game. If you have resigned your club membership but want to continue to maintain your handicap and GSGA membership, you may join at any of our other Member Clubs -- public, semi-private or private -- and have your GHIN number and handicap record transferred there. Visit our Member Club Directory to look up clubs in your area or click the box at right to transfer to one of the 80 participating clubs in the Online Membership program.

Renewing your GSGA membership is simple, requiring only a quick visit to the golf professional at your home club or by going through the Online Membership program. If you haven't renewed for this year, do it today!
