Rules of Play
Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and its Decisions. Supplemental or Local Rules will be supplied as needed at each site. All Junior Sectional Program one-day events will be conducted as two nine-hole stipulated rounds. If all competitors in the same age group complete the same nine holes, the event will be official and the nine-hole score will be used for both points and trophies.
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend tournaments. Rules for spectators are as follows:
All divisions that play nine holes will be allowed to have a caddie for both the one-day events and the Junior Sectional Challenge Match. Caddies may walk or rent a golf cart to transport the bag. There is no restriction on who the caddie can be for the player.
Proper attire is required at all times at the golf club or facility. Shorts can be worn, but must be a minimum of mid-thigh length. The dress code prohibits tank tops, T-shirts, denim shorts and jeans.
Any conduct which may be detrimental to the GSGA Junior Sectional Program will not be tolerated including swearing, intimidation, club throwing, or damage to the golf course or another persons belongings. The Tournament Director has full authority to apply a warning or disqualification as needed.
