GSGA Girls Program

The Mission of the
GSGA Girls Program

"To encourage young girls to learn the game of golf; to foster developmental opportunities, and to increase both competitive and non-competitive playing opportunities for girls in Georgia."

The GSGA Girls Program was first started in 1989 with the intent of providing girls opportunities to enjoy the game of golf regardless of their playing ability. Several of the early activities included instructional clinics and activities with non-competitive games.

The program was reintroduced at the start of 2005, forming a committee representing each section of the state. The program continues to focus on providing both educational and instructional programs for girls 17 and under. The program offers an event schedule for the more advanced golfer that includes the Girls' Championship, GA/SC Girls' Challenge Match and the Junior Sectional Program.

Just getting started in golf? The program promotes and hosts a number of instructional clinics throughout the year. Click the button below to view the Girls' Calendar of Events.
